Limit self-enrollment to fixed number of Group Categories

Hi,

I would like to know how students can self-enroll to a fixed number of Group Categories.

I first wanted to have 1 Group Categorie with 4 sub-groups in which the student needs to enroll in a maximum of 3 out of the 4 groups, but that seemed impossible since self-enrollment in restricted to only 1 group of the Group Category.

Now, I have 4 different Group Categories but I need to limit the student to only enroll themselves to 3 out of the 4 Group Categories. How do I fix that?

Regarding this specific situation, Brightspace does not natively support limiting students to enroll in a maximum number of groups across multiple categories. Unfortunately, there isn't a built-in feature to enforce this limit automatically

This might require manual monitoring, to make sure that the students only self-enroll in 3/4 group categories.
