How a quiz can be made to one student only so it's not calculated in other students' final grades
How a quiz can be made to one student only so it's not calculated in other students' final grades? I made a quiz for one student so that no one else can see it. Still, in the grade book, it appears as part of the final weighted grade calculation for everybody. What could be a solution? I thought of exempting all other students from this quiz.

Hi @Star.K.7489,
Thank you for reaching out to the Brightspace Community!
Please note that you can exclude the grade item of the quiz from the Final Grade Calculation by following these steps:
From the Grades tool > Manage Grades tab, select the grade item of the quiz created for the student and then Edit the grade item. Then, from the Properties tab navigate to the Grading section and select the option Exclude from Final Grade Calculation. With this option, the grade item will be excluded from final grade calculation.
Additionally, you may go to the Restrictions tab and select the option Hide from Users so this grade item will not be visible to students.
You may find in our following documentation further details related to excluding a grade item from the Final Grade Calculation:

We hope this helps and please feel welcome to reach out with more questions!

I'm sorry, but this doesn't help since I still do need the item to be in the grade book for the student/s that do take the exam.

Hello Star,
Thank you for your reply. If you would like the grade item to exist and apply for the users that did take the quiz, you can the following workaround.
Ensure that in the grade settings for your gradebook that 'Drop ungraded items' is enabled. This way, users that did not take the quiz will have no grade and the gradebook should not count the grade item in the final grade. For the users that did take the quiz, their grade for the grade item should reflect in their final grade.I hope this information helps!
Best regards,
