Display Class Average to Users & Display Grade Distribution to Users Privacy Issues

Hi. I have an instructor who is concerned about privacy in a small class if she uses the Display Class Average to Users or the Display Grade Distribution to Users options in a Grade Item. She is afraid other students may figure out student grades.

Is there any setting that requires a minimum number of users in order for the distribution to populate? Or if you just have two students who complete the assignment will it still show?

I understand your concern about privacy! Both Display Class Average to Users & Display Grade Distribution to Users do not enforce a min number of students for displaying the statistics. Therefore, in small classes, such as those with only two students, enabling these options could inadvertently reveal individual grades. I believe you could disable these settings for each grade item by unchecking them on the Grades config variable settings:
