HI @Noelle.B.8423 We have a training module all about this in the Free Program called Brightspace Guided Training! If you login to Community, you'll be able to select the following link to connect to a module about the Display of Material in Brightspace. This module includes content on managing homepages, including nav bars and themes and the creation of custom widgets and nav links. Display - Brightspace Guided Training for Administrators
The material doesn't describe each standard widget with an explanation of each one, and how it might be used. Are you looking for a detailed breakdown of each widget, or more inspiration on how homepages might be configuered?
