Grade progress view

Hello

I have 2 questions

I'm setting up an area where we can add the result of a final external exam for a course.

When I look in the class progress (grade progress area) of our credit management course I can see the current grade, maximum and minimum grade final with the final calculated grade and graded items.

However this doesn't record accurately the range of results recorded for this exam to show additional attempts at the exam. Can you explain the reason for this and fix it?

Also I can't seem to get this view for a business law course. It says final grade not released. I've checked the settings and can't find where it is different

I hope you can help.

Many thanks

Debbie

  • Hi Debbie,

Thank you for connecting with us!

To answer your first question, the Grade Progress in Class Progress only reflects the overall calculated mark based on your chosen calculation method for the quiz/exam attempts: highest, lowest, first, last or average score, regardless of the number of attempts. This is the same grade that is reflected in the Gradebook.

Regarding the Final grade not released, the final grade will be displayed only if released. If you would like the system to automatically release the final grade, go to Settings in the Grades tool, select the Calculation Options tab and enable Automatically release final grade. To manually release a user's final grade, please see this article on how to Release final grades for a quick step-by-step.

    Hope this helps!
