Grouping Learners but not a group task

I have 2 groups of learners in a class. I have made 2 groups and 2 sets of assignments. When marking I still see the entire class, not just the students in that grouping. How can I change this? Do I need to make sections rather than groups?

Hi Katie,

When creating the assignment in the Submission & Completion panel you need to select Group Assignment under Assignment Type. Groups that have been created in the course offering will be available for selection in the Edit Assignment UI. Unfortunately after an 'individual assignment' has been created it is not possible to change the assignment type to a group one.
