Grade item different points value to MCQ

Hi there, just looking for some clarity on the following:
Am I right in thinking that if I have a quiz out of 20 points and the associated grade item is out ofo 5 points that Brightspace will proportionally scale the MCQ results to the grade item? So for example: If a student gets 18 / 20 on the quiz — > Brightspace will calculate the corresponding grade by taking the quiz score, dividing by the total quiz points and multiplying by the grade item points. So 18/20 x 5 = 4.5 as such?

@Dererca.N.877 Yes, only the percentage is sent from the quiz to the grade book so the grade item for that student will be 4.5/5
