Settings for Gradebook?
Students are reporting that they have already been notified of zero marks but the first assignment due date is not until next week. What settings do I need to change so that this doesn't happen. Is it Gradebook settings or Dropbox?

@Valerie.N.664 Yes, if you switch to the first option, then the ungraded items will not count towards the students' final grade (until they are graded) and students won't receive those 0 notifications anymore. With the Treat ungraded as 0 setting enabled, all students will receive 0s for any ungraded items and it will appear that they are failing for most of the semester until enough items have been graded.

@Valerie.N.664 Hi Valerie, check your grade book settings and see if you have Treat ungraded items as 0 selected under the Calculation Options tab.

Yes I had that selected as there are only two choices there — the other is Drop ungraded items — is that what I should be selecting?
