Managing Sections

Good Morning,
Our institution uses sections to manage large intakes. We have up to 200 students for some intakes. We would like to look into ways to stop instructors from posting in other sections, as many often forget to restrict their posts to their own sections. Is there any way for their roles to only post to their own sections by default? What are other institutions doing to manage sectioned courses?

Hello,
By "posting", do you mean announcements, discussions, content?

Hi Andrea,
Thanks for responding. Yes, we are concerned about the cross-posting of announcements. Our instructors often forget to restrict their posts to individual sections, so we wondered if there was a way around this.

Hi Ree,
There is not currently a way to force the release condition on. Instructors would need to select it when posting the announcement to limit the visibility to their section(s).
I see there are a number of PIE items related to managing sections in large courses that you may want to take a look at an upvote.
Best,
Andrea
