How to streamline management of multiple sections of the same course?

I teach several sections of the same course. It is very tedious to keep each of the sites updated. How can I streamline this? Are there any options to make announcements and publish to all sections at once? Is there a way to upload files to all sections at once? An easy way to adjust the calendar for each?

Is it possible to merge your sections into one offering? We see this done quite frequently in cases like yours.
