Can individual discussion threads be hidden by the instructor?

In order to hide an individual discussion thread, it must be set up to be moderated.

You may create a moderated discussion topic, you may take the following steps:

• In the discussion tool,
• Click to create a new discussion
• Next, under "Post & Completion," select "posts must be approved before they display in the topic" below
• Save
  
  

You may also edit an existing discussion topic to allow for moderation.

• In the discussion tool,
• Click the dropdown arrow next to the desired discussion.
• Then click "edit"
• Next, under "Post & Completion," select "posts must be approved before they display in the topic" below
• Save

Once you have set up your discussion for moderation, you must take the following steps to hide (unapprove) a thread:

1. Click the dropdown menu of the undesired thread

2. Click "unapprove thread" (See below)
