Course banner and homepage widget
Is there a way to change the course banner without it affecting the homepage widget? We are updating to the New Learner Experience but when doing that all of our course banners need to be edited, which then messes up the homepage widget as well. We're hoping to keep our current widgets on the homepage and just update the course banners if possible.

Hi Heather! May I ask what widgets you're using? And if you have a screenshot that shows what happpens when they mess up, that would be super helpful

Hi Kathleen! Thank you for responding. Here is a screenshot of the course widget and how it looks for the course banner. We also tried creating a separate banner just for the org unit, but it then changed the widget because they are connected.
Our other alternative is to keep the widget, and remove the course banner. But the color behind the block is bothersome and we don't know how to change it from light grey to our brand color. Do you know if it's possible to change the foreground color?

We would love to know if there is now a way to do this. We asked pretty much the same question a year or so ago and there was no way to change the background color in the curse or have two different photos, one for the course and one for the "My Courses" widget.

Hello @Beth.F.141 - Unfortunately D2L has not made this possible (yet). We are also hoping for a way to customize the background but it's not possible as of yet.
