Can external calendars be imported to Brightspace?

Hi,

A user has queried me if there is a way to populate the Brightspace Calendar with our institution's module calendars and lab groups automatically. Can external calendars be imported to Brightspace?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi Colm,

You can export events from your institution's external calendar in iCal format and import them into Brightspace's calendar. This is not a sync, but a snapshot of the events at the time of export.

Conversely, you can add your module calendars and lab groups to the Brightspace calendar tool, and then subscribe to that calendar in an external calendar tool via a feed.
