What is blocking Hypothes.is on the Community site?
Just more of a curiosity, rather than an issue: I often use (when I can) Hypothes.is to deep link to a particular item on a page, essentially creating my own anchor link. It appears to be completely blocked on the community site. Does the site block all external JavaScript by default? It would be nice to link to a particular point on a page sometimes.

Hi Peter,
The following is a link to a Hypothesis annotation shared to the public group:
What is the reason for wanting to use JavaScript in the Community site?
Thanks, Chris

Yeah, this page:
I was trying to explain that they can't delete something on Rustici's server, and I can't use Hypothes.is on that page. It seems like a sporadic issue. Good to know.

I was trying to link to "Note: If the SCORM package is already deleted, you cannot remove
the grade book item. If you require grade book items to be removed from
your course, contact D2L Support." Nothing. FYI -
@Peter.D.346 can you give me an example of an article page you are able to annotate?
I'm wondering if the pattern is specific to an example of discussions vs. articles published to Knowledge Base Areas -
I want to deep-link to a point on
. I see it does work on Chrome. I am using Firefox. -
Hi @Peter.D.346 Apologies for the delay- just wanted to follow up to let you know
1) I'm appreciative of your updates here to let us know that there is a way to use the tool with the current Community, but that requires the use of Chrome.
2) I've shared this feedback with our Community Support Team for their awareness and further investigation- I suspect the browser issue may need to be reviewed by the Hypothes.is team as well.
Grateful to you for being in touch and sharing more about how you're using the Community today and would like to use it in future.
With the Hypothes.is tool- are you notified when the underlying content is updated? Without a notification system how can you be sure that the content you've annotated hasn't been updated or changed since your last note?
^ This isn't a question you have to answer- I'm just trying to learn more about how/if we might be able to offer an alternate solution in future
