Skills Check List with Approval

Question

Hello! I am currently learning D2L, so I don't have a ton of experience.

I would like to create a skills list (check list) for a training course I am working on. Ideally, rather than it just be a self guided learner checklist, I would like trainers to be able to confirm that the skill has been demonstrated by the learner... is this possible? As an example, this is for a health care related field, and the example might be "demonstrate placement of an IV catheter using established protocol".  After placement, I would like the learner to be able to check the skill off, but a trainer would perhaps get a notification for them to approve the skill.

Hoping this isn't a "pie in the sky" ask :)  Thanks for your help.

I think you might be able to use the "Observed In Person" (there's a small note on this assignment type at the top of the page I've linked) Assignment Type and use a rubric to guide the assessor in reviewing the required criteria.

Hi Sangeetha, I am familiar with the checklist tool, but unless I'm mistaken it can only be used by the learner to identify that they have completed a task. I was hoping for a way to verify this given the "hands on" nature of the skills we have. Thank you for your reply!
