When you're grading, you usually can sort the users by Clicking on the "First Name, Last Name" header in the column. Then, it can either be ascending or descending, as indicated by the error. Please take a look at the image be below:
This affects the order in which the users are displayed and is present in the Gradebook, assignments and quizzes.
