We have been using release conditions, but we still want the learners to see the other modules without being able to click on them. So is there a way to lock modules or grey out the modules?

  • Hi Elizabeth,

At this point in time its not possible to display a Unit of content and for it to not be accessible.

A couple of approaches to consider:

    • Create a unit with a description noting additional content will be available after certain activities/content has been completed.
    • At the end of a unit create a resource to highlight what's next/forthcoming content & activities etc.

The idea to have learners see forthcoming units of content without having access to them either based on an attached release condition or release date is a good one. If you haven't already done so please consider submitting it into the Product Idea Exchange for evaluation.

    Hope that helps!

  • Hello @Elizabeth.L.776

Thank you for contacting us through the Brightspace Community. The feature/functionality you're looking for seems to match an existing idea on our Product Idea Exchange: https://desire2learn.brightidea.com/ideas/D2317

Unfortunately, the PIE item is currently not planned in the Learning Environment at this time. I hope this information is helpful.

    Best Regards,
