Elucian Luminis HTTP Client integration

Question

Hello,

Our institution is planning to migrate our SIS to Workday Student in the next 2-3 years.

In the meantime, our current integration with Brightspace uses an HTTP Client called from the Ellucian Luminis portal.   I believe the API might be called BIC, as our endpoint is /d2l/bic/bannerMessage.d2l

Will this integration continue to work for the next 3 years, until our new SIS is fully up and running ( and calling Brightspace API's for our integrations ).

We're in the same boat, @Jeff.P.941. We still use BIC even though the Luminis platform itself is unsupported by Ellucian. We've also developed an API SSO for some custom tools, so we'll have that to fall back on if the BIC tool stops working.

Hi Jeff,

At this time, we have not announced any End of Life intentions for that particular integration.

While I cannot speak to any decisions that might be made over the next few years, we do try to provide a long period of time between the announcement and the actual End of Life to allow time for clients to adjust.
