It says I'm connected through SSO and I can't edit my password. What's SSO?

  • SSO is single sign on. Typically an Institution will use a 3rd Party Auth service like Microsoft Azure and assign you as a user an number of different applications, with the SSO you do not need to re login to each one individually as the SSO sends a token to the system to enable you to access it.

    I suspect in this case you cannot change a password directly in Brightspace as your password is controlled via the central system eg Microsoft Azure and you would need to change it there.
