Can "Treat ungraded item as 0" be disabled?

Hi there,

Is there a way to disable the "Treat ungraded item as 0" option in Gradebook settings? We don't want instructors to use this as it results in inaccurate reflection of students' current grades.

Thank you for reaching out to us through Community!

Gradebook settings are actually controlled by the permission 'Manage Final Grade Properties'. Unfortunately this is hard coded, and there is no way to isolate what is displayed or not. As long as the permission is given,they will be able to see those functions.
