In the new quiz tool there is an option under 'Timing and Display' that allows you to block emails, instant messaging and notifications until the quiz is done. It's blocking notifications for all courses, not just the one that the quiz is in.
I just received a report of a student is this os thiissue and apparently apparently it has been recurrent. They do not have a quiz attempt in progress but cannot access notifications because the instructor enabled this setting on a random quiz. Can this be disabled globally within the instance?
