Re: Orgstructure children and children/paged routes return HTTP 500 for Semester parents after July 2026
Hi @Ian.H.495,
Yes, that is correct.
20.26.7.20575 is older than both 20.26.7.22255 (which contains the fix) and 20.26.7.23576.
In this case, a hotfix was released for the defect and applied to Production environments, which would explain why your Production environment running 20.26.7.23576 is no longer exhibiting the behavior.
Your Dev and QA environments, however, are still running 20.26.7.20575, which predates the fix. Non-production environments generally do not receive hotfix deployments and are instead updated according to their normal wave schedule.
You can review the update schedule here:
https://community.d2l.com/brightspace/kb/articles/1048-wave-schedule
That page should help you determine when your Dev and QA environments (Wave 2) are expected to receive a newer build.
I hope this helps clarify the version differences.
Thank you,
Carolina
Re: View options: display full discussion posts and replies all at once
Hello Angela,
Thank you for your question.
At this time, Brightspace Discussions does not have a view that combines both Reading View and Grid View into one fully expanded threaded page. Reading View is helpful for reading post content, while Grid View is helpful for seeing the threaded structure, authors, and replies.
Because of this, the requested behavior would be considered an enhancement request.
Best regards,
September 2026/20.26.09 Release Notes
I see that September release makes Enhanced Table of Contents the only Table of Contents view. We like everything about the Enhanced Table of Contents except "Learner completion progress indicators for topics and modules." We find this gives our students a false sense of what they have completed. I know there is an option to have the students "mark as complete" instead of it being done automatically and that there is a config variable to make "mark as complete" the default. But the config variable will only apply to future courses, not existing courses. Is there a way to turn off Learner completion progress indicators for topics and modules?
Calendar widget that does not link directly to coursework
Some of our instructors are concerned that students are using the calendar widget links to coursework to bypass Content modules and look at readings. Is there a way to prevent this while still using the Calendar widget or some other good replacement for that widget?
Re: Add student to Attendance register
Hi Veronica,
Yes, if the existing Attendance Register is configured to include all users, any newly enrolled student should appear in the register automatically. If the register is limited to specific groups or sections, make sure the student is enrolled in the group/section the register has bene made available to.
Unfortunately its not currently possible to import attendance data into a register by CSV. The idea to import attendance data by csv into the attendance tool is a good one. Please consider making a submission into the Product Idea Exchange.
Hope this helps!
Re: Brightspace Data Sets Updates
Keeping on Top of Brightspace Data Sets updates now has upcoming changes for August through October 2026!
Re: Multiple Items in a single deep linking response not working
Thank you for reaching out regarding the Deep Linking behavior with your LTI 1.3 integration.
We can confirm that when Deep Linking is launched from the "Insert Stuff" dialog, the accept_multiple parameter is set to false. This is expected platform behavior and is not configurable at the tenant or feature level. As a result, returning more than one content item from the Deep Linking response in this context is not supported, which is why the content fails to load when multiple items are returned.
If your workflow requires the ability to return multiple content items in a single Deep Linking response, we recommend using the "Deep Linking Quicklink" placement instead. This is accessed by learners and instructors through Content > Add Existing Activities, and it does support accept_multiple: true.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Vivek

Re: Rubric used for a quiz question is not found for creating conditional release
Hello @Kristina.M.131, thanks for your question!
I looked into this and tested on my end, but was unable to find an explanation as to why it's not showing up when using the "score on an associated rubric".
Would your team be able to open up a case with our Support folks so that they may also investigate this so we can get an answer for you?
Apologies I cannot be of more assistance at this time. If you have any questions please let me know!
