Re: When exporting a quiz with images, do I need to select ALL COURSE FILES in the export settings?
Hi @Yi Yan.L.782 ,
Thank you for sharing your query. My name is Tejas, and I have been assigned to assist you.
Regarding your question: yes, we can increase the file size limit for importing the Brightspace package. However, it is recommended to revert to the original limit afterward to avoid any potential performance issues.
Please note that any changes to the file size limit must be approved by your Account Team. I suggest reaching out to your TAM/CSM to discuss this. Once your CSM has approved the change and provided the new value, kindly create a support case through the ASC portal so we can track the changes.
Feel free to reach out if you have any follow-up questions.
Has anyone security vetted Nolej io as a third party app?
We have a request from a dpt for the integration of the Nolej io third-party application into our Brightspace instance. We have not been able to access ISO or SOC2 for this tool and have questions as they have stated they have not done any integrations with Brightspace - only Moodle.
Thank you!

Re: How to access quiz answers "attempt details" from API?
@M.H.3221, if you don't see a particular route/data within the API documentation: then it is not currently possible via API at this time. Best we have regarding your question is to GET /d2l/api/le/(version)/(orgUnitId)/quizzes/(quizId)/attempts/(attemptId) a particular attempt, but this does not list question to question data at this time.

Editing the title of an Assignment isn't reflected in Grade Book
In Classic Experience—
I have some assignments that are already linked to the Grade Book.
I've noticed that if I edit the title of the Assignment, the title isn't automatically updated in the Grade Book. I have to edit the title in the Grade Book as an additional step. Is this correct?
To try to get around this I tried updating the assignment by using "Remove from Grade Book" and then putting it back. This didn't work as "Remove from Grade Book" didn't remove the item from the gradebook.
Updating the total points for the assignment did get transmitted to the Grade Book accurately, so I'm confused why other aspects of the Grade Book association didn't work.
Thanks in advance for any guidance or explanation!
Sarah
Re: Editing the title of an Assignment isn't reflected in Grade Book
CLARIFY? This response is confusing as hell, and does not address the issue directly. For all its interface flaws, there was no problem in Blackboard entering grade updates after the test was taken and graded; there was no problem in Blackboard if entering a feedback paragraph - well, duh, feedback is likely to be given AFTER the event it comments on. Brightspace blanks out the statistics and provides no update, and does not inform the student of the grade change, or of the feedback! And no one at D2L (Brightspace) seems to have a clue. But I have to give it to you, Brightspace has much better editing capabilities. It's just that it seems too rigid when it comes to rules on grading and feedback.
Re: October release - Can shared content be used
Hello Birgitte,
You’ve understood it correctly. With the new Create Space (Media Library), when you insert an asset into a course, it creates an association with that asset. If the asset is updated in Media Library, the update automatically appears in all courses where it’s used. There isn’t currently an option to insert a static copy that stays unchanged—this is by design to support centralized management and version control.
If your workflow needs “copy-only” behavior, the Learning Object Repository (LOR) still offers that option. LOR lets you choose between inserting a copy (no updates) or a subscription (updates propagate). Media Library only supports the subscription model.
As for LOR’s future: it’s still available and supported, but it hasn’t seen new feature development for some time. D2L’s roadmap focuses on Media Library as the next-generation solution, so while there’s no official sunset date announced, it’s a good idea to plan for Media Library going forward.
I hope this answers your question, otherwise, please, let me know!
Have a great rest of the day,
Raquel
Re: How to link a service user to an oAuth tool
Hello @Arald.d.320,
I have received an update from our internal teams regarding your inquiry with Linked Tool.
At this time, service users cannot be linked to apps / tools. This functionality is coming in the future. Only D2L will be able to link service users to tool (some examples of this today include IPSIS, and LTI AGS, both of these may be migrated to use the new service users tool in the future).
Customer (and integration developers), will be able to create and link service users to applications that use our upcoming server-to-server client credential OAuth2 client, coming in December.
Thank you,
Jerome
Re: Generating a course with a Syllabus file to d2l lumi
Hi Eunice,
Lumi in Brightspace offers AI support for administering content creation, but it doesn’t currently support end‑to‑end syllabus generation natively, unfortunately.
That being said, I wonder what the AI does if you choose to "generate unit from file" and choose a previous syllabus as a document. I haven't tried this, but maybe it works.
Regards,
Gabriel
Re: October - Is Source Course content changes automatically updated to associated courses?
Hi Shobhit, thank you for clarifying. I read the article, and I just wanted to be sure. With LOR in mind, and probably also influenced by what Create Space/Media Library can do now, I thought there might be a similar option for Source Course. Now I know for sure that there is not. Thank you. Kind regards, Birgitte
