When adding a video note, can you have the captions set up to be on automatically?

As it stands now, when the teacher adds a video note they can click on allow captions, but when the student watches/listens to the video note they have to click on the cog and select captions. Can it be set up in the organisation that captions are on as a default always?

Is there a way for students to see their final grade during the course?

I can't see to figure out a way to allow the Final Grades to be visible to students during the course. As they submit assessments, I input the grades into the Gradebook tool. Students can see their grades for individual assignments and feedback, but they cannot see their calculated overall grade up to this point.

It would be very useful for them to see how they're doing in the course overall as they go, as motivation to work harder, etc.

To do this, you probably need to use a browser-based tool that simulates how a page would load on a different device.

The Google Chrome browser can do this if you press F12 (on a Windows device) and choose the right options. There's a page explaining it here: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/device-mode

This isn't 100% perfect - you can't use it to troubleshoot issues that someone is reporting on a particular device or browser, for instance - but it can give you an idea as to how the pages will adapt responsively.

While it is not possible to use an intelligent agent for attendance tracking, I have found a similar feature request in the Brightspace Community's Product Idea Exchange (PIE):

Intellegent agents based on attendance status (D4159)

I recommend you vote it up so this feature can be considered in future updates
