I was reading the https://community.d2l.com/brightspace/kb/articles/4260-set-up-integration-with-a-tool-provider page and the link in # 5. to the "LTI version chart" (https://www.imsglobal.org/overview-lti-versions-and-basic-functions) returns an "Oops, Sorry, the page you are requesting is only available to 1EdTech Members and/or requires a login…" I guess it needs a little tweak. 😉

Also, I'm not sure who to notify about this but in our Brightspace > External Learning Tools > Edit Tool Provider, the "?" beside the Version field produces a dialog box that includes a link to the old D2L Community: https://community.brightspace.com/s/article/LTI-Integration-Guide

Re: SCORM completion tracking not working

Hi Emma, Without specific details it can be hard to say what is happening here, however it’s more likely to do with the package configuration. SCORM 2004 4th edition is a great one to use, and make sure to set the completion threshold in the SCORM package. An exit button at the end is also helpful.
You may also want to reach out to your SCORM provider for further assistance with package settings.

There are a few possibilities here. Firstoff the tool may be called different things, like "Standards" for example. Perhaps look through the course tools for the icon which looks like a black-and-white target with an arrow in the center. You can also check in the Config Variable Browser for what alternate names have been used throughout Brightspace: "d2l.Languages.Terminology.LearningOutcomes"

Only the Learning Outcomes > Manage Outcomes permission is required to access the tool.

You can verify in Course Admin > Tools whether the tool is active (again verify the correct name in CVB above).

As I recall, you cannot use it in conjunction with Competencies. So if you have already applied "Learning Objectives" within the course then Learning Outcomes (or "Standards") will be suppressed.

thanks for the information! There is a lot of confusion when we are communicating about the update alerts, most people think we mean the notifications but we did some more tests and it seems they are two completely separate things……i wil upvote the PIE items.

When searching for course names with phrases, there is no option currently available to download the search results.

If you would like more options I would suggest the submission of a PIE item, or upvoting one that suits your use case.

However, you can use the Organizational Units data sets from Data Hub. The organizational units' data set returns details about all org units within your organization.
