Re: Survey Results by Participant?
HI @Megaen.Koscinski5168 If you do an intelligent agent and then select the release condition for “no completed survey attempt” that should work for you.
While this is not a report, this if you create it will allow you to send the “premade” emails to the people that you want to follow up with.
Re: Is it possible for students to choose 1 written response question out of 3 choices?
Personally, I think I'd go for the latter of @Jonathan.Hedrick5626‘s two suggestions. Many exam formats on paper have people choosing one of a number of questions, so it may not be a problem for the learners to see the three questions in the description and simply choose which one they write a response to. This keeps it fairly simple from an administrative point of view.
Re: What is the minimum bandwidth requirement to access Brightspace and have it function optimally?
Hey @Richard.Porter7686,
Thanks for reaching out to us here at the Brightspace Community.
- Although Brightspace is useable over a 56K modem, the faster & more reliable your
Internet connection speed, the better your experience with Brightspace will be. - A hardwired Cable or DSL connection is recommended, particularly for submitting
assignments & quizzes.
I hope this helps you with your exploration!
Re: How do i set the "default" submission view for ALL quizzes?
Thanks for the quick response.
This is a feature that needs to be in place. It takes a lot of time to manually set these things, and it is easy to make mistakes with such a repetitive task. Not to mention the carpal tunnel aggravation.
Why did they call it “Default”?
Can we get rid of the 4-digit number after our name?
Hey!
I'm not a fan of this Discord-like format. Is there a way where our displayed names could be without the numbers?
Stay Awesome!
Product and Services Preview updates
Hi friends!
The Product and Services Update replaces the former 60/90 Day Review/Preview document, and is now published in the same cadence as our Brightspace Release Notes.

Re: Release Notes Updates
@Michel.Marcheterre8271 Yes! That is exactly what I was talking about in my initial post.
The college I work for has a lot of international students and, while they are expected to know and learn English, it's not always easy. I think having the option to move back and forth from their Native Language to English would benefit them greatly and help make the learning process easier.
Re: Community Feedback🗨️
I was reading and found that the link provided for “Where do I go to find out more?” is circular and simply leads back the top of the page.
I did find the info I was looking for on the old documentation site, under Add an Identity Provider…. but it would be nice if in time this info could be added into these nice, eye-ball friendly sections/pages on the new Community. 🙂
Brightspace Documentation now available in multiple languages!
Changing how the world learns isn't just a fun tagline at D2L. For a few months now, we've been helping our clients and users transition their processes from the Legacy Community and Brightspace Help to the New Brightspace Community. We're continuing to work on identifying content gaps and adding new features to make the New Brightspace Community an even better experience for everyone.
This month, we have a great milestone to share! Brightspace documentation is now available in additional languages to support clients worldwide. In addition to English (US), you can now access Documentation and Release Notes in French (Canadian), Spanish (Mexican), Dutch, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Arabic (Saudi Arabian).
With the availability of Brightspace Community in multiple languages, we continue to improve our user's experiences no matter where their classroom is located.
When you launch the New Brightspace Community, your currently-selected language appears on the minibar.
Figure: The Language setting currently set to English.
To change the Language setting:
- Click the current language and select a new language from the available list. Figure: From the list of languages, select your preference.
- Click the subcommunity from under your chosen language. Figure: The French subcommunity displays all available content in French.
We encourage you to explore the localized content, and use the search function to further refine your search terms. As always, we look forward to engaging with you to find ways to continuously improve our users' experiences.
Re: Show correct/incorrect for fill in the blank questions?
Thanks for the suggestion @Julie Low558. I think there might be some confusion here, though.
I might be wrong, but based on how the (blue) answers are listed in the image, I think your screenshot might be showing a “Multi-Short Answer” question. Your screenshot (and the wording of the question therein) makes it seem like your example has four blanks, each of which may be filled in with any of the five listed answers. Is that the case?
I'm asking about a “Fill in the Blanks” question, where each blank is associated with at least one specific answer and which may have text fields in between the blanks. I'd like to know if a student's response to each individual blank can be shown as correct/incorrect (without revealing the correct answers) for this type of question specifically.
