brightspace error
at the main page that shows my active classes, one of the 2 classes I am currently enrolled in, is shaded and will not allow me to open that class, even though i am positive the class is not finished yet

It does sound like the course in question is closed.
If you select the 'waffle' menu at the top of the page, this icon here:
Do you see the course there?
If the course isn't present there, I would recommend that you reach out to your instructor or you Brightspace/e-learning support center so they may look directly into the course itself and confirm what's happened.
