Help! with d2L QUIZes; and removing one from their Grades when QUIZes don't work out.

Recently a QUIZ (Course material and Quizzes were provided to me in the shell.) worked fine when I took it for a 'test run' twice (a week before; and day before) However, on the QUIZ night my students couldn't see the multiple choice possibilities.  All they could see were the blanks. When I tried to come to the rescue, I also couldn't make the choices (QCM) show up.....Questionnaires choix multiples (Class is taught in French.)
Finally, I decided to abort their QUIZ mission so that I could fix this during our midway break.  hmmmm....since question 13 - 14 were true 'fill-in-the-blank' sentences; questions 1 - 12 were not listing all the QCM options for each question???
Big Issue that needs fixing a.s.a.p.  One student had completed half the quiz (wrongly formatted) before we all aborted the mission for good.....I told him that it was o.k.; but he only finished 7/14 questions before he left it... Consequently,  his average has plummeted to 49%.  I  tried to scrap and DELETE the quiz, edit his grades, etc.  I can't get rid of this 'half-way-finished" QUIZ result.
