SCORM/Gradebook Question
I have created several interactive presentations using Active Presenter. I uploaded them as SCORM packages to Brightspace. 80% of the time, it works perfect: student completes the tutorial, grade shows up in gradebook. The other 20% of the time students are completing the tutorial, but it is not showing up in the gradebook. Clearly something is happening that is preventing the SCORM package from triggering the grade to be sent. I have no idea what!? Any ideas??
I can’t troubleshoot the issue because my institution does not allow instructors to have dummy student accounts. I’m beyond frustrated and about ready to give up on my beautiful interactive presentations.

Hi Laurel,
Yeah, not easy to troubleshoot if you don't have access to a learner account. Is the 80-20 issue happening in the same course? I am assuming that it is, otherwise it could make it easier to troubleshoot. Re-reading your post, I understand that you created several SCORM objects, are the ones breaking always the same ones?
I would start by asking learners experiencing the issue which browser they use to see if a pattern can be established. Maybe Safari is not playing well with your SCORM package? I picked Safari because it currently has about 20% of the market share, but it might be another browser.
Or not, it could be a thousand other things. But you gotta start somewhere!
Good luck!
Mike
P.S.: If you want to send me the problematic SCORM(s) I can probably set them up on our TEST environment and give you access. Also, your Institution most likely has a TEST site, maybe they could be persuaded to let you have a dummy learner account on that system.
