Clarification on Login History, System Access History, and Course Access History in Brightspace

Hello,

I am supporting an evaluation project and need clarification on how Brightspace tracks and reports certain learner activity metrics. Specifically:

1. Definitions & Scope
   • What exactly is captured under Login History, System Access History, and Course Access History?
   • Are these values reported as the number of days (with at least one event) or the total number of times?
   • Are these metrics limited to the last 30 days only, or do they capture activity from the beginning of the course?
2. Interpretation
   • How can someone access the system but not log in?
   • How can a learner have login history but no course access?
   • How can a learner have 0 days under System Access History but still have 1+ days for login history and course access history?
   • How can a learner have 0 days for login history and system access history but still have 1+ days for course access history?

Any guidance, documentation, or examples would be greatly appreciated, as this will help us provide accurate explanations for our evaluators.
