Email to Instructor Widget

Hello,

How do I make widget so students can directly email their Professors/instructors by clicking on it? I tried creating using the HTML but found no replacement strings for instructors' email addresses. Is there any other ways?

    Hi @Jangchu.T.508! Although there's no clickable email link option, you can:

    • Create a custom widget with the contact information and add it to the course offering/org unit homepage.
    • Create an Announcement with contact information and pin it to the top of the Announcement widget.

    Thank you, @Subul.I.322 for your answer. Actually, I'm looking to have a widget at the org level so that it will automatically be available in all course offerings.

    Meanwhile, to answer on your query on how to create a custom widget and share across the course offerings you can follow below steps

    1. Go to Admin tools → Homepage management
    2. Under the Widgets Tab → Custom Widgets section → Click Create Widget
    3. Create a custom widget as per your requirement by giving a title , release conditions and content as required.
    4. Under the properties tab, click on Add OrgUnits under Make widget available to and select to have the widget shared to Every Course offering under your Organization
