Why must all courses remain on the learners view even after the course duration is up?

This platform has been just swell for learning so far. However, there is one significant pain point for me and many friends alike. The old courses are no longer relevant and never go away! I have done enough research on the internet to find that I must contact my instructors to "close" or deactivate the courses. We have chosen to conduct a protocol for the odd student who wants/needs the old course content accessible. My perspective seems sound; I wish that D2L could update this so that, rather than the default being to keep courses activated automatically, it would instead automatically deactivate courses and require attention if a rare case finds it necessary. Or in a utopian world, we would just allow students to deactivate the courses from the "select a course" waffle button.

    Hello!

You can try adding this suggestion to the Product Idea Exchange (3rd Party Tool) (or upvoting an existing similar idea).

Note that you can "pin" your current or active courses from the Select a course drop down menu. While this won't remove the old courses from your view, it will make it easier to access your current/active courses.
