  • Hi, this is a question/issue with the Product Ideas Exchange site. We've noticed there's a lack of color contrast for the navigation bar when accessing the PIE (such as Home, Ideas by Status, Post Idea, etc.) These links are in white text, but the background is gray. The blue background for the navigation bar only appears once the user scrolls down the page. Image of the issue.

  • Hello, I am having trouble with my brightspace. I have had to complete an interactive and receive a HIPPA certification for my Pharmacy Technician program and every time I click the link it says error page not found. I have contacted the school and school IT department, and they redirected here to your IT department. I just need to collect my certificate, and the matter will be resolved as I have to have it for graduation.

    Since the training and the certificate are housed on your school's site, the help desk will need to be involved if you're seeing that error- but we can lend a hand to get this sorted.

    Just wanted to follow up- a change has been made inside of the PIE tool to update the nav link colours.
    Can I trouble you to confirm you're seeing that update as well?

    How do I retake a quiz for the course I am taking if I have exceeded my limit. My course does not have an instructor?

    This video shows how you can review available quizzes from within your course- however if the quiz you're looking for is not available from the list you may not be able to access it as this time. If your course doesn't have an instructor there may still be ways to connect with the program offering the course. I'll send a Direct Message with some ways we can help to connect you.

    This SQL statement is being the used to correct the Answer field text and remove the HTML from the QuizQuestionAnswers dataset.  Runs fine for about 200 lines of SQL then fails to refresh when all lines are added.  The data set name is JEGS_QuizQuestionAnswers_Spice.  I am sending an attached SQL code file.  It is a copy of the Calculated field I created to clean the text field of HTML.

    We were not cautioned as to the use of HTML in the Survey and Quiz creation process.  Even when Text selected in the survey and returned to the default D2L text style the HTML remained embedded.  When this data used for single course and single session it is not a problem D2l has that internally.  When we used this data in DOMO, we were able to combined data and create Program and Departmental data analysis. It was much more convenient in DOMOM.  In AWS the SQL fails (Times out).  DOMO allowed me to not only address this issue it also allowed me to use One ETL dataset to create four or more modified outputs. These outputs allowed additional calculation within the dataset.  AWS requires addition datasets to add the additional calculations.

    This image is to show I facilitator list output from Raw data – Joined data – Clean filtered output to be embedded into an additional data set.  In reality the larger data set I created had outputs by Comments for each facilitator, Likert Facilitator evaluation scoring and a combined stream supervision.

    Now I have to use the base dataset and create 4 modified output.  Not significantly a problem but requires me to track it back to he base data set and then edit the four reporting datasets.

    1. User/QuizQuestion/Answer Dataset - Scoring
    2. Survey/QuizQuestion/Answer Dataset – indicates facilitator
    3. Combined to evaluate Facilitator effectiveness
      1. What Quiz question (they did/may not) have conveyed
      2. The impression the participants had of the facilitation and Facilitator
      3. What Course/Topics/Sections were effective/ineffective
      4. % increase in knowledge they received

    Overall by Department, Program, Couse, Section and Instructor.

    These are the problems I am trying to resolve.

    I think the problems you're working to solve are exciting and complex.

    I think some of what you're trying to achieve may require the intervention of a support case.
    I can see you're an ASC- may I trouble you to create a case explaining what steps you take before you see the error message "[ErrorCode: INTERNAL_ERROR_QUERY_ENGINE]"

    My area of expertise isn't in Data - but I have asked a colleague if they have a recommendation for you in the meantime, and they mentioned that they think you may be after an SQL function 'regex_replace' they also recommended this resource to help with that https://trino.io/docs/current/functions/regexp.html

    It sounds like you're also moving through the transition of Insights Report Builder to Analytics Builder. I'm going to connect with your School's Account Team here at D2L to see how we might help support in making that change over a bit easier.
