    I'm Julie Lowe, a Community Specialist on the Community team. Continued learning and education have always been great passions of mine. I am most lit up when collaborating with individuals in diverse roles and with various experiences to create accessible, educational resources. Being a member of the Brightspace Community is exciting because of the opportunities it provides for both continued growth and to get connected with all of you!

    Thanks for reaching out to the Brightspace Community.

    In order to ensure that clients are being connected with the most current and updated documentation and information, we have migrated questions into the new space that have received a ‘best answer’.

    Hi. I had long been a member of the Brightspace Community, posting PIEs, etc.

    It looks like that 'world' has been obliterated and replaced by something new … and impenetrable.

    I jumped through the hoops to set up a new account about a week ago. I received an email about needing to set up SSO, as of the end of TODAY. I don't know if I have a valid (new) account? Still existing old account? I can get in, sort of, see a profile, but I can't get to the PIEs. Are all the PIEs from before wiped out?

    Please advise. I really regret recommending this site to a colleague last night. It is now a jungle.

    Good Morning,

    I am enjoying the new Brightspace Community but have noticed some bugs with the new system. First, I saw that many users must recreate an account for the new community and again with the new MFA configuration. While this is not an extreme hurdle, previously active users are not tied to their previous comments and activity.

    Additionally, many users seem locked out of updating their profiles. I noticed that my email address is used for my username. I did not want to share my email address with the community and hoped this could be changed to my name. I also wanted to update my profile picture, but I need help as this functionality does not seem accessible to users.

    Anyway, I just wanted to alert you to the bugs I have found. Thanks for keeping the community updated and secure.

    I'm just taking a look at your account now- and your access through the single sign on looks great!
    When you access the Product Idea Exchange from the link in the navbar or Quick Links widget are you seeing an authentication error?

    Our intention is not to delete or disconnect you from your previous PIE items at all - just to ensure you can connect to them a little faster and easier with one set of credentials.

    We have a few support sessions we're offering over the next few days if you'd like to connect over Zoom and review together- if you're not able to access your previous PIEs we'd love to work on getting that fixed

    Send me a note if none of the following times are convenient for you - truly want to make sure your experience in the new site gets better and better from here

    I'm so glad you're in touch with us and so grateful for this feedback!
    When I review your account it looks like we may have to complete one more step to get that username to update- once we do that final step it will update across any prior posts you've made in Community but won't disconnect you from them.

    Let me know if these SSO Support Sessions are not convenient for your schedule- truly want to make sure your account here is what you want it to be :)

    Hi all, I have a member of my team who is experiencing an error when trying to select "Product Idea Exchange" from the Community homepage menu. They receive the following error (in the screen shot attached) — "There was a problem processing your authentication. Your username/password was invalid or your particular user does not exist on our system. If you have any questions please see your system administrator." They are logged in when they try to do this. Can you please look into this? They can access other areas just fine (e.g., ASC, Documentation, etc.) when logged in. Username is Adam.R.776.

    Editing this because I think it may have gotten overlooked when posted on Nov. 14—

    Hi everyone, I'm back to ask about the same account I had asked about before — Adam.R.776. Adam cannot see the "ASC Homepage" button on the homepage when he is logged into Community. I've attached a screen shot of what he sees. Is there any chance there may be something going on with his account? Thank you in advance for your time!
