Immersive View - PDF print and download

Question

Hi, we just changed to the immersive view but the ability to download and print PDFs or other uploaded documentation has disappeared - is there a way around this? We want to use the immersive view as it allows us to offer better engagement with the course pages and set some pages to optional.

Thanks Stephen - that's a potential workaround for us. We had originally turned this off as we didn't want learners to be able to download the pages of content, but this didn't affect the ability to download a document; this seems to be different for the immersive view though.

The only way to control whether or not content items are able to be downloaded is by role permissions. There's no specific setting or configuration for the Immersive View or the general Content view to disable this.

Here's how it should appear from the students view with downloading enabled:

The specific role permissions you'll want to check are for the Content tool are "Compile and Download Content" and "Download Content Topics" for the Course Offering level:
