y learning platform does not seem active and running. Cannot post to discussion board, no recorded lectures and links come up with the above message. Is that normal?

Regarding the "Unavailable Quicklink" error shown in your screenshot, one possible cause is that the discussion topic you are trying to access was copied from a different course, and you do not have access to the course where the original discussion is located.
We recommend contacting the person who created the link to verify this. The quicklink should either point to a discussion topic within the same course, or you must have access to the course where the linked discussion topic exists.
If you have any further questions or concerns, you can always contact your school or organization’s Help Desk to submit a support request.
