Asynchronous Learning - Video Completion

We are looking at potentially incorporating some asynchronous elements into our programs. The idea is to have students watch a lecture video and the assignment or activity is not complete until the video is watched completely. We also want to lock down the video so they can't skip through or increase the speed.

Is anyone doing something like this or has ideas on how we could accomplish this in Brightspace?

• Disable the seekbar so students can't skip forward
• Restrict speed controls
• Set a completion threshold (e.g., 95% watched)
• Use Brightspace Release Conditions to lock subsequent activities until the video is complete

H5P integrates natively with Brightspace and allows in-place editing without re-uploading content.

Option 2: Custom SCORM Package

You can publish the video as a SCORM package with full player lockdown. SCORM reports a "Completed" status back to Brightspace, which can trigger release conditions. The trade-off is that updating the video requires rebuilding and re-uploading the package.

Option 3: Bongo Interactive Video

A premium partner add-on[Bongo] that embeds mandatory interactions at specific timestamps, ensuring students engage with the content throughout.
