Issue with Brightspace update for Grades – Improved navigation within the Enter Grades page

Does anyone know how to remove or roll back this update?

This update is very difficult on professors with a large number of students in a class, as the right and left scroll arrows that were added scrolls past the columns too far and also leaves columns showing halfway. When you try to scroll back it goes past the column again and does not display correctly. The only option is to scroll to the bottom of the screen, use the scroll bar, and then scroll back up for grading. This is very time consuming and a frustrating 'feature' to use.

Note the update states the scroll bar was only visible at the bottom of the page, which is incorrect, it was available no matter where you were on the page, which made it very easy to navigate.

  • Hello,
There isn't a means of rolling back this update however it is still possible to scroll in the gradebook without navigating to the bottom of the gradebook page if you are using a keyboard. The keyboard command "SHIFT+ scrolling with your mouse" will scroll the screen horizontally.
