How can we filter a search by faculty name in course offerings now that course management is no longer available?

    Hi @Brian.R.369 ,

Thanks for reaching out to us through the Community!

If you are referring to searching for courses based on a specific Org Unit type, such as departments, templates, or semesters, you can use the Courses tool. This tool allows you to easily create, copy, and search for courses, course templates, and source course org units, similar to Course Management.

If you have further questions, could you please provide a bit more detail on what you meant by “faculty name in course offering”?
Are you referring to courses where the course name includes the faculty name, or something else?

Please let me know if you have any additional concerns or if you’d like clarification on any of the above.

    Thanks,

    Sangeetha

Hey Sangeetha, thanks for responding. Yes, our workflow centered around searching for courses by semester and a faculty's name. For example, today our Dean needed me to pull the syllabi for all the courses Prof X was teaching in Spring of 2025. Previously, in Course Management, i could limit course searches by semester (this case 25/sp) and the prof's name (Prof. X) and this would quickly retrieve the 4 courses that Prof X taugh in the Spring of 2025. It seems this search capability is not limited the update.

    Hi Brian,

In courses, you can still filter by semester.

From your last comment, it seems that the instructor's name would make the name of the course. Wouldn't just filtering by Semester and searching for the Instructor's name work in a similar regard?

    Hope this helps.

    Gabriel

The instructor's name is not in our course name or course offering code. They look like this:

Course offering name: Spring 2026 - CERAMICS I

    Course offering code:   26/SP_ART_115_02
