Is there a way to hide the "Post to Course Homepage" option?

We currently do not use the Activity Feed widget for our course homepages. For our courses that use the New Content Experience, is there a way to hide the "Post to Course Homepage" option as an administrator? Without the Activity Feed widget, this option is not needed and we would like to make it unavailable to instructors.

    I hope you’re doing well! Thank you for reaching out to Brightspace Community with your question about hiding the “Post to Course Homepage” option.

    If your organization is not using the Activity Feed widget in a particular org unit, you can disable this option by setting the following configuration variable to OFF at the org unit level:

    • d2l.Tools.ActivityFeed.ShowWidget

    When this variable is turned off for an org unit, the Activity Feed widget will no longer appear, and the “Post to Course Homepage” option will be removed.

    Please note that access to edit configuration variables depends on your role permissions. If you do not have access to make this change, you will need to contact your organization’s Brightspace administrator to request the update.
