Recent Update Caused Issue
I've had my courses set to "File Submission" because students were able to use the "Comment" field to submit share links (as from Google Docs), or they can use the "Add a File" button if they prefer uploading a file. This is preferable because when the assignment parameters are set to "File and Text Submission" students see TWO text boxes and several students find that confusing. An added consequence to the latter is that students who use the TEXT submission area (instead of the COMMENTS area) cause extra clicks in order to assess (click text submission link, then click again to open the share link, whereas the comment field requires one less click).
- Preventative Workaround - set the assignment to “File and Text Submissions" (not ideal and doesn't solve the problem because:)
- This setting cannot be changed after someone submits something (submission types are no longer changeable). Can this change?
