Assignments - why is the feedback read date showing as before the published date?

Hi

Can anyone tell me why on some assignment submissions the feedback read date is showing a date before the feedback was published date?

    Thank you for reaching out to the Brightspace Community!

    We have observed this behavior in the past. It can occur when feedback is initially provided and viewed by the user, but later, the instructor updates and republishes the feedback, and the user has not yet read the updated feedback.
