feedback

What could be the reason that feedback that a teacher has given to a student at a submission point, differs in text and letters from what it should actually be? Normally, that should be the same. The only thing I can think of is that it is due to the student's laptop, but then the student should encounter it more often. I have advised the teacher to let the student go to the feedback via a different system. It cannot have been adjusted by "someone" because then the teacher must also see the adjustments and that is not the case. I cannot think of anything that causes this to happen.

Hi, Aj.
In Brightspace, it is possible for a numerical grade to display with one value in Assignments and a different value in Grades if
- a different denominator has inadvertently been used in the grade item in Grades, or
- a different (e.g., not numeric) grade item type has been used in Grades, which will translate/transform the value.
As an admin, I would ask for a screenshot so I could verify exactly where the student is looking and what they are seeing.
I would also impersonate the student's Brightspace account and check both their Assignment view and their Grades view. I would also double-check the Manage Grades setup from the instructor view to verify there isn't any mismatch with what has been configured in the Assignment editor. If nothing shows up there, I would also click "View Event Log" for the student in Grades, to verify no changes had been made (not expecting to see any, but it never hurts to check everything possible… because an instructor's memory is fallible and sometimes mistakes can happen due to lack of tech savy).
But perhaps it's none of those things and that's exactly why you're posting here…?!
