Share attendance register with entire organization?

I know it's possible to share an attendance scheme with my entire organization but can this be done with attendance registers? Every semester I create attendance registers for each course schedule which faculty then have to copy into their courses. This would be much more seamless if I could share them like a like a scheme.

    Unfortunately, attendance registrars are not shareable object types. You would want to continue as you've been doing, that is: create the registrar and copy into the targeted courses.

    I agree with Jeff; however, here are my two cents:
    Brightspace does not support sharing attendance registers across the entire organization in the same way it allows sharing attendance schemes. Each attendance register must be created and managed within individual courses, which can be time-consuming.

    Potential Workarounds:

    1. Template Courses:
      • Create a template course with the desired attendance registers.
      • Use this template to create new courses each semester, ensuring that the attendance registers are copied over automatically1.
    2. Course Copy:
      • Use the course copy feature to copy attendance registers from one course to another. To streamline the process, do this at the beginning of each semester.
    3. Bulk Course Create (BCC):
      • Utilize the Bulk Course Create feature to automate the creation of courses with pre-configured attendance registers. This can save time and ensure consistency across courses.

    Steps for Course Copy:

    1. Navigate to Course Admin:
      • Go to the course where the attendance registers are set up.
      • Select Course Admin > Import/Export/Copy Components.
    2. Select Copy Components:
      • Choose Copy Components from Another Org Unit.
      • Select the course with the attendance registers and choose the components to copy.
    3. Verify and Complete:
      • Verify the copied components and complete the process. The attendance registers should now be available in the new course.

    These methods require some initial setup but can help streamline sharing attendance registers across courses.
