Virtual Classroom Attendance

Hello,

I had previously sent a ticket inquiring if we could add the student ID# numbers with the student names in the virtual classroom attendance tracker. The response was no. We have classes with mandatory attendance requirements and multiple students with the same name, so we cannot differentiate who attended. I had another instructor inquire if there was any other solution your team could recommend. Being able to individualize these students would be very helpful.

Thank you for reaching Brightspace Community!

You may add the Preferred Last name or Preferred First name for the student and it will override the displayed name for the user.

• 1- From the Admin tool, select Users.  

• 2- Click Edit User Information> Add Preferred Last Name OR Preferred First Name  

• 3- Click Save 

OR you can try adding the student middle name along with the first name to reflect as one first name.

I believe you have upvoted for the PIE https://desire2learn.brightidea.com/ideas/D10720 requesting to make student ID as UI with virtual classroom.
