Quick Eval slow to load!

Hey everyone, I'm noticing a major slowdown with the Quick Eval tool loading. It can take 30-50 seconds to refresh, or load whenever I visit. This includes when I first load it, mark an assignment, and then return to the Quick Eval screen to go to the next assignment.

Is anyone else noticing this and what might be causing it?

    Hi @Steve.C.327 ,

Thank you for reaching Brightspace community!

I would recommend raising a support case for the team to investigate further. Meanwhile you might need to check if this is happening with other users ? if not, worth checking your internet connection. Is it happening with different courses? more details when raising the case will help the team to troubleshoot.

    Regards,

    Heba

@Steve.C.327 YES. You are correct and that is why I am here. This is a HUGE problem for me as faculty. Teaching over 100 students - will change the way I teach. Who has 50 seconds per student do this? * 100 students. This is NOT an internet connection issue as Brightspace may like to claim.

I calculated 47-60 seconds only to enter a grade. This is without even providing feedback to student. In my experience (20 years), your system is inefficient. Don't you think there is a relationship between student grade page and last login? You add steps left and right. Why not present the data on one page like BlackBoard? You are Adding time to teaching, taking valuable time away from students and content creation. Plus there appears to be no overview page where teacher can see all missing assignments or late assignments. Again, add steps for us… Make us open each individual assignment. Hire the Blackboard UX team.

    Hi @T.S.4648,

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. I understand your frustration with the time it takes to enter grades and the additional steps involved. Your extensive experience in education gives you valuable insights into what works best for teachers and students.

As Julia has already suggested, if you are experiencing longer than normal times while using the Quick Eval tool, please create a support case. We recognize the importance of efficiency in grading and the need for a streamlined process. Your suggestion to present data on one page, similar to BlackBoard, is noted. We are continuously working to improve our system, and your feedback is crucial in guiding these improvements.
