Special Access for Discussion Forums
My college has made the decision to lock down discussion forums with an end date. We are leaving visibility, but withholding the opportunity to post once the deadline passes. This solves a few problems for us. However, sometimes we have students with disability accommodations who are allowed extra days on their discussion forum participation. It there a way to special access to discussion forums, in a way similar to how we can allow special access to Quizzes?

I'm afraid there's no way to set special access to the Discussion tool. However, this has been posted a feature request that is currently under consideration in our Product Idea Exchange:
