Keyboard shortcuts when creating presentations using Capture Web in Creator +
I'm trying to create a video using Capture Web in Creator + that will show my students how to navigate my Brightspace course. I went to the Media Library and chose "Create Recording." I chose to share my entire screen, and opened another instance of Brightspace set to "View as Learner" in another tab (which is the view I want to share). But in order to start the recording, I have to go back to the first tab to click "Start recording," and then quickly switch to the second tab to demonstrate how to navigate the course. This causes the resulting video to begin with a weird view of the first tab showing a screen within a screen within a screen until the second tab becomes visible.
Are there keyboard shortcuts I could use to start and stop the recording from within the second tab, so that I don't have to go back to the first tab to do it?
I hope I explained this well enough so that you know what I'm asking.. New Brightspace user here. :-)

Hey @Peggy.R.1517,
Thank you for reaching out in the Brightspace Community.
In this case, you may find this community article helpful for the workflow you are trying to achieve:
https://community.d2l.com/brightspace/kb/articles/17895-create-a-presentation-with-capture-webYou could drag the new tab with the Learner view to another window and on step 7 you could select to share the the Browser Tab or Window that includes the Learner view instead of sharing the Entire Screen.
For example:
Tab 1 with My Media page
Tab 2 with the Learner View on a different windowOn Tab 1:
Select "Create Recording"
Click on "Share Screen"
Select the Browser tab (example Chrome Tab) and choose the Learner tab from the list which is in an new window.
Click Share
Select "Start Recording"Go to Tab 2 with the Learner view and Navigate as you need
Go to Tab 1 and click "Pause Recording"
Then Click "Finish Recording "
Save and CloseResults: The video will only include the Tab 2 recording.
Please keep us posted if this resource was helpful to complete your intended workflow.
Kind regards,
Best,
Ana
