How do i close "welcome widget" on my log in to my course (and not delete it or stop it for students?

The Welcome Widget will display a type of pop-up to all users when they access the homepage of the course. It will happen every time, until the user clicks the bottom buttons on that pop-up to go through all the pages that are displayed. On the last page they will be presented with a button to Dismiss which will prevent the pop-up from reappearing unless the user clicks the button on the widget to manually launch it. So go back onto the homepage of your course again and click through the "Next" buttons at the bottom until you find the "Dismiss" button. Then it will not appear again. Yes you will have to do this for each course you have. Doing this will only effect you, and not your students.
If you only select the X in the top right of the widget, it will continue to reappear/show it to you ever time you access the course homepage.
