Suggestion: Add 'Only Show Users with Unpublished Submissions' Filter Option for Grading Assignments

When I grade an assignment that requires an attachment such as a Word document, I use the filter shown in Figure 1 below to find submissions I have not graded yet. After finding the new submissions, I select them all and click Download to download the attachments, as shown in Figure 2 below. The issue is when I reapply the same filter, those new submissions are no longer found. It appears Brightspace marks them Read even though I have not graded (published) them yet.

I would like to see another filter option in addition to "Only show users with unread submissions", "Only show users with unpublished submissions".

Thanks for your suggestion. I can also see that you have already posted it to PIE and it is currently in review.

In the meantime, after you download all the unread submissions, I suggest you the following workflow:

1) Go to the "Submissions" tab,

2) Under "Read Status", select "read submissions".

3) Click on the Magnifier Glass icon to filter the desired submissions

4) Select all results

5) Click to mark them as unread.

Done. Now you will be able to apply the "Only show users with unread submissions again.
